GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. Grand Junction and Fruita Monument did not disappoint in their first boys lacrosse meeting of the season.
The two were tied at halftime, but Grand Junction came out quick in the second half, delivering four unanswered goals for a 7-3 lead. While Fruita Monument tried to get through, Jacob Hart played a strong game at Grand Junction's goal.
It wouldn't be until the fourth quarter that the Wildcats picked up their pace and added two goals, but by that time it was too late. The Tigers would work the clock and finish with the 8-5 win.
