GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) The situation in the Southwestern League for softball is getting sticky, as it has many times in the past.
On Thursday, the Central Warriors looked to keep their perfect league record alive, but the Grand Junction Tigers wouldn't allow it as they went on to take an 8-2 win.
Though Central scored first, Grand Junction answered with three runs in the second inning and followed that performance with a 5-run seventh inning to add some insurance to the board.
In the end, it's a whirlwind circle: Grand Junction defeated Central, Central defeated Fruita Monument, Fruita Monument defeated Grand Junction. It'll come down to the final games to decide that league champion.
