HS BASEBALL: GJHS, FMHS bounced from playoffs

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The road to the state playoffs for Grand Junction and Fruita Monument ended in the first round of the district tournaments.

The Tigers and Wildcats were both shutout in their opening round contests against Ralston Valley and Dakota Ridge, respectively.

Fruita finishes the season 2 games above .500 (11-9), and the Tigers conclude the 2012 campaign with 13-7 record. Below are the scores from Saturday.

    A handful of arrogant boys stole the opportunity for these talented group of kids from going further. Why does GJHS allow such arrogant, trouble makers to continue to play sports and even get big awards for it. It used to be a combination of athleticism and sportsmanship were got applauds. Boy is that NOT the case with that group. What a shame
