GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Central Warriors won their first SWL game of the 2011 season with at 8-3 victory over the Grand Junction Tigers.
Central got out to an early 1-0 lead on an RBI single by Brittany Hoppe in the first inning, and then they piled on six runs in the third to take a 7-0 lead. Marisa Millard hit a home run to make it a 7-3 game in the fourth, but Central held on for the win.
The Tigers will play FMHS on Sept. 27 while the Warriors will travel to Montrose.
