GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- After falling 3-0 to Fruita Monument three weeks ago, Grand Junction pulled off an upset Tuesday night, beating the Wildcats 3-1 on Senior Night at GJHS.
The Tigers (8-7, 2-4) won 25-9, lost 27-25, won 25-22, and won the final game 25-23. Grand Junction has now won back to back league games after starting SWL play 0-4.
For Fruita Monument (11-3, 4-2), the loss means the Wildcats will need help in order claim a share of the league title. Durango has yet to lose in the Southwestern League.
