GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- It wasn't the first time that the No. 2 Tigers got off to a slow start this season, but it was the first time in a must-win game.
No. 31 Chatfield jumped out to a 10-0 lead following a Grand Junction fumble. They controlled possession so much that the Tigers only ran 22 plays on offense in the first half - their fewest in a half all season.
Head coach Robbie Owens said that the first quarter struggles are going to have to be eliminated as the Tigers advance into the 5A playoffs. For more from Owens, click on the video link above.
