GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Another stand-out week on the baseball diamond for Sean Rubalcaba may have given him his most prestigious award yet.

The future UNC Bear is headed to college to play football, but after another great game against Montrose, "Ruby" is the ESPN baseball player of the week for the Midlands Region.

Rubalcaba went 4-5 against the Indians with two doubles. His season average is now at an astounding .673 with 12 doubles. Rubalcaba thought that receiving the Gold Helmet Award for Colorado football was going to be the best it got, but ESPN may have just one-upped that award.
