GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - NBC’s third annual Green Week launched on Monday and for the next seven days, you’ll probably notice slight changes to the network’s programming, from a green peacock to green plotlines.
The idea behind Green Week is to help raise awareness about environmental issues and things you, the viewer, can do on a daily basis to go green.
This is a twice–annual push for an environmentally themed week on NBC. There's one in the spring for Earth Week, and of course this week in the fall as Green Week.
Here's what you can expect:
Blogs from the national NBC team about going green.
Tips for ways you can green–up your every day life.
Public service announcements highlighting the importance of going green.
A place on the national NBC Web site for you to make a pledge about how you plan to make a positive difference in the environment.
And all this week, don't forget to look for environmentally-themed plot lines on your favorite NBC shows. Click on the link below to be taken directly to NBC’s Green Week Web site.
