The Fruita Monument Wildcats girls softball team clinched a spot in the 5A state playoffs thanks to a second place finish in the Southwestern League.

The Wildcats were placed in Region 6 where they will play the first round of game at Canyon View Park in Grand Junction. The reason why Region 6 games will be played at Canyon View is because sixth seeded Central Warriors (17-2) earned the right to host the first rounds. The Wildcats were then placed in the same bracket as Central.
