OLATHE, Colo. - One of the loudest statements in the first round of the 2A state football playoffs was the Olathe Pirates 55-10 drubbing of Buena Vista.

Now the Pirates (11-0) will head to the front range for a second round road trip against Kent Denver (10-1). The Pirates feel that there remains a lack of respect for Western Slope schools despite their perfect record and numbre three ranking.

This week at practice the Pirates spoke of how they are excited for the second round game against Kent Denver and they plan on making a statement.
