GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The GJHS boys nearly let a big lead get away, but both the boys and girls came away with wins at home against Durango.
The boys (12-7, 5-2) held a comfortable seven point lead midway through the fourth quarter, but it came down to the final shot. Liesen Crow blocked the potential game-winning three-pointer and the boys walked away with a 49-47 win.
The girls (17-4, 7-0) remained undefeated in SWL play with a 54-35 win. Jamie Derrieux surprisingly did not lead the team in points. She had 14 while teammate Sydni Brandon had 15.
