As Interior Department begins reform process, so does push to bring BLM Headquarters to Grand Junction

As the Interior Department begins the process of reforming their department, local leaders are joining in on advocating to move the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) headquarters out of Washington and to Grand Junction.


The Grand Junction Historic Preservation Board, in collaboration with the Museums of Western Colorado, has recognized 21 historic buildings in downtown Grand Junction as a significant part of western Colorado's history by putting up historical plaques to each.


Charter Spectrum said they've increased their residential and small business speeds from 60 mega bites a second to 100 for free. They said all new customers are getting the upgrade, and existing customers should have noticed those higher speeds.



Since the shooting in Florida, they've seen an increase in tips about planned school attacks, several of them in Mesa County. The district also has more temporary, armed school security officers across the district, and at schools that had been mentioned in Safe2Tell.
