Xcel Energy says power restored
Xcel Energy says a blown fuse has left 195 customers without power including the Mesa County Jail and Justice Center Tuesday afternoon.

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KKCO)_ Xcel Energy says a blown fuse has left 195 customers without power including the Mesa County Jail and Justice Center Tuesday afternoon.

Power went out at 1:18 pmand was restored at 1:50 pm.

Xcel says it couldn't find the cause for the blown fuse.

The outage spanned Main Street to Ute Avenue and 1st -14th Streets.

The Grand Junction Police Department directed traffic while the lights were out in the area.

Xcel says the Mesa County Jail and Justice Center have backup generators that kicked on.
