The Mesa County Sheriff's Office has named Lester Ralph Jones as the only suspect in the disapperance of Paige Birgfeld.

Jones has been a person of interest in the case since authorties found Birgfeld's burnt car on July 1. Now after months of investigation, they say Jones has emerged as their only suspect.

Authorities are asking for the public's help in this matter. They say anyone with information on where Jones was on June 28, the night Birgfeld was reported missing, to call them. The Sheriff's Office can be reached at (970) 244-3500.

Birgfeld is a divorced mother of three. She had several jobs, including running an online escort service.

Authorities say they have still not found Birgfeld's body, but it continues to be a top priority for them.

They would not comment on how Jones is related to Birgfeld, but that today's announcement comes after months of investigation.

"Through that work we have eliminated those persons of interest and they're no longer on our radar screen," said Sheriff Stan Hilkey. "We're down to one suspect and that's Lester Ralph Jones."

Authorities say that Jones is only a suspect at this time. He is not under arrest and there are no plans currently to arrest him.

Frank Birgfeld spoke to 11 News. He says if Jones knows anything about what happened to his daughter, he just wants to know.
