Grand Junction Police have released surveillance pictures from Thursday’s bank robbery and are investigating whether a stolen dirt bike is connected to the robbery.

Around 5 pm the robber entered the First National Bank of the Rockies on Horizon drive. He handed the teller a note claimed he had a bomb. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police searching the area for the suspect found the Honda dirt bike in a ditch behind Pantuso’s restaurant. Police think the robber used the dirt bike to leave the area.

Police have released surveillance pictures hoping the public may recognize the robber.
