Two teenagers are under arrest and charged in the shooting of a Grand Junction man.
Michael Lamenca, 18, Grand Junction and Daniel Rachal, 17, Grand Junction are facing charges of attempted first degree murder, felony menacing and possession of an illegal weapon.
Investigators with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office say the two teens shot 21–year–old Jeremy Rosales in the stomach Sunday night.
The shooting happened around 10:15 p.m. in Fruitvale at Brownie Circle and 31 1/2 Road.
Lamenca is being held at the Mesa County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility and Rachal is at the Grand Mesa Youth Detention Center.
The victim, Rosales, underwent surgery Monday morning. His current condition is unknown at this time.
