The President of Mesa State College made a stop at one local high school earlier today to encourage kids to go to college.

Staff and faculty of Mesa State College gave a presentation to seniors at Grand Junction High School Wednesday. President Tim Foster spoke about why it's so important to go to school, and go to the right school for you. The head of the outdoor pursuits program also showed a video of all the activities available in the valley and through their program.

President Foster says that Grand Junction High School is only the first school on this local tour, and he thinks it’s of the utmost importance to recruit students locally.
