Vandals damaged a man's car, but police say they may have targeted the wrong man.
It happened just before 4 a.m. Friday morning. Neighbors on the 400 block of 26th Street in Grand Junction say they woke up to sounds of glass breaking.
Witnesses reported seeing two men run from a car that had all of it’s windows broken. That's when they called police, and officers say the car owner told them it may have been a case of mistaken identity by vandals.
The owner of the car has only owned it for the past six months. Witnesses say the two suspects ran from the scene and got into a parked car at the end of the street, and sped away.
