Arrest Warrant Issued For Suspect In Officer-Involved Shooting

Four Grand Junction Police Officers are on administrative leave, one man's under arrest and another is sent to the hospital after an early morning shooting.

Police say an officer shot 25 year old Omar Infante–Ortiz. Police say Infante–Ortiz fired shots at an apartment complex to scare some people then fled. When police caught up with Infante-Ortiz he pointed a gun at them so they shot him. He was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with unknown injuries.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Infante–Ortiz on felony menacing and first degree assault charges...

Police have also arrested 21 year old Marcos Joel Mendoza on first degree burglary and felony menacing.
