After two months of surveillance a four–person drug ring is dismantled in Mesa County.
The ring leader, 20-year-old Florentino Ibarra, was arrested Wednesday night during a traffic stop in the 200 block of Grand Avenue in Grand Junction. Jason Berger and Paul Martinez, both 20-years-old, and 18-year-old Ismael Torres have also been taken into custody.
Authorities say the ring was able to come up with ounces of cocaine at a moments notice and were dealing strictly within Mesa County. Recent criminal activity showing links to drug use and dealing
is why authorities decided to make the arrests now.
The four will be officially charges next week, pending charges could range from distribution to contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
