While most Rockies fans spent the day angry about the ticket situation, one local fan is celebrating after he managed to buy tickets this morning before the website crashed.
Jason Cruz says and his father logged into the Rockies website just before tickets went on sale Monday morning at 10am.
After getting kicked off the website several times, Cruz finally got through and was able to buy four outfield club level seats for game 4 of the World Series.
He says he and his dad are definitely going to the game, but that he hasn't decided what he's going to do with the other two. He says he checked the Stub Hub website and saw that tickets in the section right in front of him were selling for $4000 a piece.
He says he's just happy he doesn't have to wait until Tuesday afternoon to get his tickets.
"I'm a pretty lucky guy," said Cruz. "I've been bragging about it for awhile that I was going to get tickets and people kept on teasing me saying that I wouldn't get them, but my boss finally let me off work and let me come down here and get some tickets."
About 500 World Series tickets were sold online Monday morning before the website crashed.
