The November election is right around the corner and the Mesa County Clerk and Recorders Office is still awaiting thousands of ballots.
As of Wednesday afternoon, the county election office had received 17 percent of the nearly 60,000 ballots sent out.
In an odd year election officials say the turnout is usually between 40 and 50 percent, but could be less this year, especially with a short ballot.
"In my five years as clerk and recorder, this is the shortest ballot I've seen, but there are important issues," Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Janice Rich said.
If you still haven't received your ballot there's still time. You can contact the clerk and recorders office by going through the news links section of our web channel.
