For many it's the ghosts and goblins that people need to be weary of during Halloween, but for others it's all candy that comes along with it.

It's a common misconception that the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are the bulk of the weight gain season. One local fitness expert says that dipping into children's Halloween stash may be to blame, but another culprit are those mini chocolate bars.

She recommends adding 30 minutes of exercise for every two mini candy bars you eat. Another solution is to switch out traditional Halloween candy for fruits, even if they have a little bit of sweet covering.
