Steamboat springs, Colo. (AP) _ Routt County Sheriff Gary Wall has been issued a summons on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Wall confirmed to the Steamboat Pilot and Today that he was pulled over and was issued a summons last night. The State Patrol also confirmed Wall was pulled over, but a spokesman did not have details this evening.
Wall told the newspaper he was returning from an annual Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort association celebration, but that he did not consume anything that would have affected his ability to drive.
The Sheriff's office says it has opened an internal investigation into what happened.
