A common prank this time of year could land some people in jail.
Someone smashed more than 50 pumpkins last night and left them scattered across Highway 50 in Whitewater.

The pumpkins' owners filed a vandalism report and because of the large number of them involved this crime may be classified as a felony.

A similar crime happened over the weekend when someone smashed nearly 30 pumpkins at a Grand Junction church.

If you have any information on these Halloween vandalism cases, call CRIMESTOPPERS at 241-STOP.
