The woman who drove her car off of the Colorado National Monument has been identified as 57 year old Brenda Griggs. The manner of death has been ruled as suicide.

Last night a highway worker spotted a car that had plummeted over a cliff near Rimrock Drive on the Colorado National Monument. It fell 250 feet into Red Canyon.

They say nobody witnessed the actual crash, and they don't know how long the car has been in the canyon.

Park rangers say it will take at least a week to decide how to get the car out of the canyon. They will either retrieve it with a crane or a helicopter.

Brenda was a member of Fellowship Church and a meber of our small group. I last saw her Thursday night Oct. 25 at our weekly meeting from pm until approx. 8:30pm, I do not recall seeing her at church on Sunday. We will all miss her and will pray she is in a better place now.
