The Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra held its Puttin' On the Ritz Symphony Gala Saturday night to a packed house.
The Symphony is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year with its signature event to help raise money to fund its programs. This single event will generate around 10 percent of its total revenue for the year.
Revelers enjoyed fine wine, gourmet meals and had a chance to bid in silent and live auctions. Destination packages to New York City, Hawaii, and others were grabbed by determined bidders while themed Christmas trees fetched prices in the thousands. Then couple had the rare opportunity to dance the evening away to live music from the Symphony.
The Grand Junction Symphony is the only symphony from Denver to Salt Lake city and is a non-profit organization. Over six hundred people attended the Puttin' On the Ritz themed gala.
