Monument Staff Remembers Volunteer

The staff of the Colorado National Monument continues to mourn the loss of one of their own.

72-year-old Bill Karp passed away Sunday after collapsing while he and his wife were hiking on the Monument Canyon Trail. It is believed Karp suffered a heart attack.

Karp was a volunteer at the front desk of the Monument Visitor's Center for a year and a half.

His co-workers say he will be sorely missed by all. They say he will always be remembered for his sense of humor, warm smile, unfailing kindness, and love for life.
