A fire started at a home in Fruita Thursday morning just after 6 a.m.

It happened at 436 Ash Avenue. The Lower Valley Fire District says the blaze started in the back of the house, and that the entire back of the home was severely burned.

Nobody was inside the home and no one was hurt. Police say neighbors called in the fire.

Fire crews have put out the blaze; at this time we don't know how the fire was started.
