On August 8, 2007, Mark Harold was riding his motorcycle when he got into an accident. Mark survived. Today, he and his family are thankful for his life.

After the accident, Mark was rushed to St. Mary's hospital where his heart stopped seven different times while in the emergency room. He then had to have 70 units of blood, which is enough to keep ten people alive.

Four months later, Mark is alive and well, only losing a leg to the horrific accident.

Thanksgiving has now changed for Mark Harold and his family. It's brought them closer together and thankful for his life and the time everyone gets to spend together.

Mark's family has set up a fund in his name. They are asking for anyone in the community to help out with the financial burden of medical bills. The fund is in his name, The Mark Harold Fund, at the Western Rockies Federal Credit Union at 2302 North Avenue in Grand Junction.
