Powderhorn Resort is taking on a new look this year, green.

That’s right Powderhorn ski resort is going green, `the ski destination has purchased renewable energy credits to power two of its three ski lifts. They have also implemented a new recycling program, they recycle about six-hundred pounds a week, this reduces the resorts impact on landfills by 40 percent.

Powderhorn Resort hopes to open the slopes next week, but it will come down to how much snow the Grand Valley sees over the next couple days.
