The parents charged with kidnapping their daughter to stop her wedding have reached a plea agreement.
Lemuel and Julia Redd are accused of telling their 20–year–old daughter they were going shopping and then driving her to Grand Junction.
Today they pleaded guilty to reduced charges. Originally, they were charged with felony kidnapping.
A judge immediately sentenced the parents to three years of probation and ordered them to pay two–thousand dollars. That's the cost of the meal that was missed on the eve of the original wedding date.
Their daughter was married three days later than planned.
