The largest construction project in the Grand Valley is changing the skyline.

A 280 foot Tower Crane is towering over the city. It can be seen from downtown, Orchard Mesa, and even as far as the monument.

The crane is part of St. Mary’s hospital’s Century Project. The Tower Crane can be used to visualize how big the addition to the hospital will be, it’s an approximation that the hospital will be as high as the cab of the crane and as long as the arm.

It is the first tower crane ever used in the Grand Valley. A second crane has been added to the landscape at St. Mary’s hospital, its more than three-hundred feet when fully extended.
