Baby Jesus Stolen

A couple in Clifton is distraught after they woke up to find baby Jesus missing from the nativity scene in their front yard.

Art and Dorothy Dague reported the theft to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office yesterday, but deputies say they don't have any suspect information.

Sunday morning Mrs. Dague and her husband woke up to find their nativity scene vandalized.

They don't understand why someone would steal their little savior. They have put a light-up gift in the spot where baby Jesus was.

The dague's say although they won't have jesus in their yard, they say they'll have him in their hearts and still have a Merry Christmas.

After 11 News reported on the theft of baby Jesus, a viewer called in and said he had the same nativity set and offered to give his baby Jesus to the Dague's.

If you have any information on this theft call the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office or call Crime Stoppers at 241–STOP.
