Saturday morning, Mesa Mall hosted a very unique breakfast with Santa.
Ten children who are hearing impaired and deaf got a chance to interact with Santa without saying a word.
During the "Signing Santa" event, Santa used sign language to read the kids Twas the Night Before Christmas. The kids also got a chance for some one-on-one time with Santa to tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
Afterwards, a big breakfast and goodie bags were waiting for the kids. School District 51 hearing specialists say the mall went above and beyond, which they say meant a lot to the kids.
This is the first year Mesa Mall has done the event and mall officials say it won't be the last.
