A Clifton man accused in the hit and run death of his friend pleaded not guilty in court Thursday. Michael Ocampo will now go before a jury, his trial is set for May.

Ocampo is facing numerous charges including vehicular homicide in the July death of 26–year–old Mario Mondragon. Police say Ocampo hit Mondragon on 30 Road between D and D1/2 Roads and didn't stop. They say the two men had been drinking at bar together earlier in the night before heading over to a night club.

Ocampo is free on bond, he's due back in court in April.
