A storm that was expected to dump up to a foot of snow in the mountains is expected to move into the Front Range today.
The national weather service has issued a snow advisory for northwestern Colorado, as well as Aspen and Vail through 6 pm today.
The snow rolled into Grand Junction early this morning, well before most people woke up for the day. The flurries lasted throughout the morning before tapering off before noon. Temperatures will drop tomorrow as the system passes.
The system is expected to hit the Front Range this afternoon, bringing snow accumulations up to two inches.
