There's still hope for Mesa County to get its election equipment recertified before the presidential election.
On Friday Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Janice Rich met with the Secretary of State Mike Coffman. She says it looks like Coffman may allow trained elections officials to retest the equipment.
Earlier this week Coffman decertified 75 percent of the state's voting equipment.
Mesa County's equipment made by ES&S performed the worst according to a more than 4,000 page report.
Rich says she's hopeful the retest will take place but noted that there are still legislative issues that need to be considered.
