A semi truck lead state troopers on a ten mile chase with speeds topping 100 miles per hour.

It all happened just before noon Saturday. Troopers say the blue semi truck was near the Utah border traveling into town when it was clocked by the state patrol airplane at 97 miles per hour. Troopers were waiting for the semi at the Mack exit but when they put on their lights the truck didn't stop. The truck blew past the port of entry. Acting quickly, troopers used their cars to force the semi to pull over.

Iowa resident John Beckle was taken into custody and could face charges of reckless driving and felony eluding.

Troopers say they don't know why he wouldn't pull over but they're glad no one got hurt.
