High tech digital mammograms may not be a good thing for every woman, according to a new report.
Researchers at Dartmouth College studied over 42 thousand women, and found digital mammogram screenings for every single person is not cost effective.
Younger women or women with dense breasts benefited the most from the scans.
Conventional mammograms appeared to detect breast cancer more often in older women or those with more fatty tissue; however this needs to be studied further.
