It's been three years since the last air show in Grand Junction, but today some residents of Mesa County heard that familiar jet plane sound.
Flying in at about 750 miles per hour, a Blue Angel landed at Grand Junction Regional Airport.
The Blue Angels will be the featured act at the 2008 Air Show to be held at the Grand Junction Regional Airport.
The pilots say Grand Junction is one of their favorite places to perform. Lt. Frank Weisser says, "The weather and the field and really more than anything, the reason so many military airplanes come through this city is because the folks here are so fantastic."
The Air Show will be held in September and will coincide with the Fruita Fall Festival and the Grand Junction Downtown Association's Car Show.
