Victim In Fatal Motorcycle Crash Identified

Officials have identified the victim in Wednesday night's fatal motorcycle crash.

The victim is 42–year–old Robert Otey of Grand Junction. According to the Mesa County Coroner, the cause of death is multiple injuries and the manner of death is accident.

The investigation into the crash continues but police do believe Otey was speeding. Witnesses think he was street racing with two other motorcyclists on North Avenue or trying to initiate a race.

Investigators have questioned a motorcyclist that was seen riding near the victim, but are still looking for the owner of a red motorcycle also seen in the area.
