Inmate Suing Authoities Saying It's Too Easy To Escape

Denver (AP) _ An inmate who twice escaped from the Pueblo County
Jail is suing authorities, claiming he was abused by guards and
that they didn't do enough to stop him from breaking out.

Scott Anthony Gomez Junior alleges that guards have sprayed him
with pepper spray, shot him with a stun gun, and beaten and kicked
him without provocation. He also claims that employees of the
Pueblo County Sheriff's Department got other inmates to assault

In his last escape, the lawsuit says Gomez was seriously injured
when he fell 40 feet while trying to scale down the side of the

The suit claims doors on jail cells weren't locked and ceiling
tiles were easily removable, giving inmates an escape route through
the jail's ventilation and mechanical systems.
