With record snowfall, the City of Grand Junction is reminding its residents to grab the shovels, and clear the sidewalks.

The Grand Junction Regional Airport reported 3.1 inches of snow on the ground. This total broke a record set back in 1974.

The City Code requires all sidewalks adjoining your home and/or business be cleared of snow, ice and debris within 24 hours after a snowfall.

If you would like some assistance clearing your walkways you can contact a local landscaping company or call Partners Work Crew at 255-5555 ext. 33.

To report sidewalks that have not been cleared within 24 hours hours call Code Enforcement at 244- 1593.
