The feud between the town of Fraser here in Colorado and International Falls, Minnesota over who owns the title to the trademark "Ice Box of the Nation'' is heating up.
Fraser Town Manager Jeff Durbin says the Minnesota town has replied to a lawsuit filed by Fraser with a countersuit. Durbin says what might seem ridiculous to outsiders is important to Fraser. He says the area's residents have to live through the cold and ought to get something for it.
"The Summit Daily News" in Frisco says an attempt to settle the dispute with a duel failed when Fraser wanted it to be a contest on snowshoes, and the International Falls mayor wanted a snowball fight.
