14-year-old boy reports attempted abduction

LITTLETON, Colo. (AP) -- A 14-year-old boy walking home from a friend's house has told authorities a man tried to pull him toward a car before he could run away.

Jefferson County sheriff's officials said Wednesday that the boy reported noticing a dark blue or black sedan following him as he walked near Falcon Bluffs Middle School in Littleton sometime before 8 p.m. Monday. The driver yelled to the boy, who began running. The boy says the man chased him, grabbed his arm and started pulling him toward the car. The boy managed to run away.

The suspect is described as white, 35 to 40 years old, about 200 pounds, with medium salt and pepper hair.

The report comes as police in Westminster seek an abductor who killed 10-year-old Jessica Ridgeway this month.
