Students at one local elementary school are working hard to give a special gift to children in traumatic situations.
Caprock Academy kids worked an hour a week for ten weeks to make blankets.
They are donating all 51 to Project Linus. It's a nationwide effort to bring comfort, through blankets, to those who need it most.
The founder of Grand junction got involved after her daughter was diagnosed with cancer.
She says the project means a lot to her and the children it helps.
