A popular author of children's books makes a stop at two Grand Junction elementary schools today.
Trinka Hakes Noble, an author best known for her "Jimmy's Boa" series, was set to visit four elementary schools but because of weather only reached two. She read, and signed books for students at Appleton Elementary and Broadway Elementary.
Even though her trip in Grand Junction was cut short, she just wants students to know the stories behind her stories. Alpine Bank provided the grant to make it possible for Hakes Noble to stop at the District 51 schools.
