Boulder, Colo. (AP) A University of Colorado regent who initially supported Bruce Benson's bid for CU president now says she won't vote for him.
Democrat Cindy Carlisle told the Boulder Daily Camera Sunday that public outcry about Benson’s nomination to replace the outgoing Hank Brown made her change her mind. She says she previously voted for Benson to move the process forward and because the two alternative candidates were unacceptable.
Carlisle says she met with the Republican party activist last week to tell him she wouldn't vote for him. Benson is the sole finalist for the president's job
