Disaster Strikes and Red Cross Responds

By  |

The Western Colorado Red Cross Chapter has responded to a slew of disasters recently, depleting some of its resources, but still the organization manages to help so many.

The organization has been serving Mesa and nine surrounding Counties for 90 years. It's run solely on donations, but as recent disasters flood our area, its resources are running dry.

The Red Cross has responded to six house fires in just three weeks. During this time food and shelter for 15 adults and six children was provided.

The Red Cross is looking for real heroes to recognize at its annual fundraising breakfast. If you want to nominate someone click on “News Links” and submit a form, or call 970-242–4851.
